Well, our sweet bundle of joy....Griffin Christopher Johnson was born on May 3, 2012 at 3:08 am. Dad, Deb, Kev, Aunt Debbie, Chris, and Glenn were all there for the special event! I am obviously a little behind on my posts....but being the mother of a newborn...I now know first hand how LITTLE time you have to sit down and complete something like this. However, I do want to get some of the details down so that I can come back and look at them if I ever want to :-).
To make a very long story short...I was admitted into the hospital on May 2 around 5:00 pm and I was dialated to a 4 and 90% effaced. I got to a 5-6 on my own that night and then was given Pitocin. Dr. Walker broke my water when I was at a 6 and I went from a 6 to a 9 in 30 minutes. The nurse told me that if I was a 10 by 1:45 then we would start pushing.....well, I was....BUT the lady next door had to have an emergency C-section so I had to wait an HOUR AND A HALF to start pushing! I pushed for 30 minutes and at 3:08 am, Griffin was born! :-)
I summarized the whole night in a quick nutshell, but I just wanted to get to the point that I can post pictures and funny things that are happening NOW and not have to "catch up" first. :-)
