"The Toothless Wonder"

Lydia is currently calling herself "The Toothless Wonder."

This past weekend she lost both of her two front teeth. Today was her first day back to school since this exciting event happened in her life....she said that her friends were calling her a vampire and she did NOT like it!.

She saved the teeth until she got to our house tonight to leave them for the tooth fairy. And yes, of course, I took pictures of the event!

She had me type up a letter that was exactly word for word what she wanted to tell the tooth fairy. We read The Night Before The Tooth Fairy (a tradition we started....we read it every time she looses a tooth before the tooth fairy comes) and left her teeth under the pillow. She was so giddy before she went to bed...she kept on saying "I wish midnight would hurry up and get here!" Here is what the note said:

Here are some of the pics I took of us getting ready for the big night!:

I just love this girl!

The Flood

On September 8, 2010 there was a flood that severely impacted our family. Courtney's house was destroyed in the flood and she lost about 85% of what she owned.

Here is an email sent from Courtney and the pictures she sent along with the email....
From: Courtney Johnson

Well... It's been 72 hours since I left to go to work, only to return
to see our home flooded. Here are some pictures from what the house
looked like. I want to thank ALL of you who have been praying for the
kids and me. Thanks to everyone who helped with the clean up process
and who have offered to help us get back on our feet. Words cannot
express the gratitude in my heart for each and everyone of you. This
has been such a humbling experience and I will never forget the
generosity that has been extended to us. God has truly blessed us
beyond belief. Our family & friends are priceless! Thank you, thank
you, thank you!
