For the books...continued....

So, in response to her "I love you"....

I wrote: "I love you too sweet girl! I love being your step-mom"

And she wrote: "I love being your step girl"

Priceless!! :-)

One for the books!!!

Well, it's official....

Tonight was the first time that Lydia told me "I love you" on her own! It was simple and sweet...but, I won't ever forget it.

It was during a game of Words with Friends..... She sent me a chat/text and it just said: I love you.

What a feeling! I know I'm just her step-mom.....but, that was a proud moment! :-)

No Training Wheels!!! Whooo hooo!

Here is a short video clip of the kiddos riding their bikes for the first time at our house without training wheels. This has been something that we have been working on and wanting them to do...but it got put on the back burner for a little while. No problems now though!! :-)

Tomorrow is the first day of school! Lydia is in Mrs. Hogue's first grade class and Camden is in Ms. Abrams fourth grade class. I will let you know how it goes and post some pictures as soon as I get them.

More video fun.....

Here are two more videos....

Video 1: Lydia and her babydoll
Video 2: David and I decided to give the kiddos my old phone to play with (not call people...just games) since I got a new phone. This video is of Lydia trying to get it her phone to work.

Practicing our jokes....

Ok, after much drama....I finally got my iPhone 4 yesterday. The kids and I were playing around with the video camera on the phone, and they decided that they wanted to tell me jokes. After watching, I am sure that you can tell that much practice is needed before we perfect our act!

(By the way, after watching the video clips...you will definitely be able to tell that Camden went first....and Lydia went second. She got her joke idea after listening to her brother!....so cute!)
