"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."

"I wonder...."

Lydia has a new thought that has come across her mind quite a bit recently. Out of the blue...I could be doing her hair, helping her get dressed, she could be eating dinner, or even playing with her dolls and she will stop everything she is doing and say:

"I wonder what it is like to be______"

These are a few of the things that she has wondered what it would be like being...

"I wonder what it would be like to be hair."

"I wonder what it would be like to be a dog."

"I have always wanted to know what it would be like to be shoes on someone's feet."

Yes, I know...it is rather random. But, that is just how Lydia thinks. She is VERY out-of-the-box!

Where do I begin?!?!?

I have been meaning to start a blog for a while now....I just haven't taken the time to sit down and do it. I think that it is a great way to document all of the things that happen from day to day so that in the future we can go back and read about the different memories that we have made as a family. But, then again...that's a "me" thing I think. I am corny like that and love to look back on old pictures, etc.

Right now David is currently a PE teacher at Willie Brown Elementary. I teach 3rd grade at Kenneth Davis Elementary. Both Cam and Lyd go to the school that David teaches at. Camden is in Mrs. Sesker's (Aunt Lynn's) 3rd grade class and Lydia is in Mrs. Crawford's Kindergarten class.

Well, we officially became a family on December 5, 2009 when David and I got married. We had a small wedding with just our immediate family in the living room of our house. After the ceremony, we had a reception with some of our closest friends. We went to the Gaylord Texan for a few nights and then San Antonio for our honeymoon. For our first Christmas together we went to Texarkana to celebrate with his side of the family a week before Christmas...and then came back to Mansfield to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas with my side of the family. Santa brought Camden and Lydia a new basketball goal.

Since then, Lydia turned 6 in January, Camden turned 9 in April, I turned 29 in March, and David just turned 38 in May.Lydia lost her first tooth in March of this year and her second tooth in May. Camden has received all A's on his report card and got COMMENDED on both his math and reading TAKS tests! :-) We are so very proud of him! There is one more week of school until it is officially SUMMER! Lydia graduates from Kindergarten next week and Cam's awards assembly is next week as well.

We have some fun things planned for the summer. David will be working a couple of days for Stretch-n-grow. We signed Lydia up for Princess camp in June and Camden will be going to a basketball camp that week as well. We are going to Branson, Missouri with is family for a whole week in July. The last week of July the kiddos are off to Camp Thurman. Well, I think that is enough now. Just wanted to bring thing up to date before I start writing other posts. I am going to attach a few pictures along with this blog of some of the fun times we have had recently. (I just have to figure out how to do it first!)
